Why do they tell you they love you

When really they don’t even care

Somehow they have found you are useful to them

In time you find they’re not there

Don’t they know how hurtful it is

They may even have broken your heart

I don’t know why they do it

Some have mastered this fine art

Do they think you’ve no feelings

Maybe you don’t matter at all

Really it was all about them

Maybe one day THEY will fall

Maybe someone will do it to them

They will know the hurt and the pain

They may think THEY have found real love

The person leaves them with heartache and pain

Please don’t say you care for someone

Unless your feelings are real

For someday it may happen to you
