IT’S THE SIMPLE THINGS THAT MEAN SO MUCH

It’s the simple things that mean so much

It’s not fame, money power and such

What about showing love and care

With those without much, you choose to share

Instead of striving to be well known

To those less fortunate can’t love be shown?

So many thinking just about themselves

That humility and compassion are left on the shelf

Having thoughts for those in countries who are poor

Wondering just what they have in store

Instead of lining our pockets with gold

It is time for their stories to be told

It’s the simple things that mean so much

It is not fame and money, power and such

Think about others and their struggles to live

Let that touch your heart, love them, give

Just think and tell all you know

It’s time that we helped, to give love, to show

To show that we care that we see and hear

Tell them, that they are oh so dear

Where has all the compassion gone

That so many cry for and long

It’s the simple things that mean so much

It is not fame and money, power and such!
